Inspiring the travel trade with Teletext Holidays new digital vision.

To announce the launch of 4 new digital platforms, Teletext Holidays asked Avvio to pull out all the stops and create an event the industry had never seen before.

During 2010, Teletext Holidays had redeveloped its entire platform and produced some revolutionary new offerings. So, on a snowy night in December, we invited key industry journalists and their trade customers to a special event that would unveil the new website, TV channel, iPad and iPhone apps.

Our work covered everything from scriptwriting and storyboarding to venue sourcing and video production as well as putting on the after-show party and logistics. We had a giant LED screen trucked in from the X Factor set. A 24ft bar was specially transported through the snow to West London. We had countless iPads and iMacs delivered on mass. We even made sure £600,000 worth of gallery artwork was safely locked away.

Our creative work started by understanding the audience and looking for ways to leave a lasting impression. We wanted the presentation to be something they'd remember for days after the event.

We went back to the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s and using various footage from popular TV show we showed how Teletext had changed and grown.

A big screen production with plenty of wow factor

We used the very latest technology and computer graphics. To get the right results we went as far as transforming the Teletext boardroom into a green screen studio for 3 days.
